Timo Mayer’s Pinot Noir 2020 from the Yarra Valley is a lifted, savoury, whole‑bunch–driven style. Aromas of red cherry, wild raspberry and cranberry are joined by rose petal, spice and a subtle stemmy/herbal note. The palate is light‑ to medium‑bodied and energetic, with juicy red fruit, bright acidity and fine, chalky tannins giving grip and shape, leading to a persistent, gently earthy finish. Characterful, food‑friendly Pinot, delicious now and over the next 5–7 years.
