Ken Wright Pinot Noir Canary Hill Vineyard 2022 comes from an historic vineyard planted in 1983 in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA, located at the southwest end of the appellation at 450–550 feet elevation on an east-facing slope. The site features volcanic soils that produce Pinot Noir with notable purity, intensity, and a distinctive sense of place. Fermented with native yeasts and aged in French oak barrels (30% new), the 2022 vintage displays vibrant dark fruit aromas of blackberry, boysenberry, plum and red cherry, complemented by earthy notes of fresh turned soil, bramble and orange peel. On the palate it offers bright acidity, fine tannins, excellent clarity, depth and a weightless yet powerful finish. A refined and expressive Pinot Noir that beautifully showcases the fruit-forward elegance and mineral character of the Canary Hill Vineyard terroir.
