The 2021 Bella's Garden Shiraz is from the Barossa Valley and, like last vintage, shows all the earth and might of the Barossa dirt. It has red earth, licorice, iodine, blood, layers of mulberry and blackberry and metal shavings. Interestingly, it is sedate on the palate but very long. This suggests it might need a decant or, at the very least, might benefit from one. It is a lovely wine that is big, buxom, dense and persistent. I really love the finish—it is chewy and full, very satisfying. - Erin Larkin, August, 2023
Bella’s Garden 2021 is Two Hands’ Barossa Valley flagship within the Garden Series, a wine that showcases the character of Shiraz from this historic region. Sourced mainly from lower‑yielding vineyards in the Barossa’s western ranges around Greenock, Seppeltsfield and Marananga, on red‑brown earth over schist, it delivers small bunches and high fruit concentration, with naturally “masculine” tannins and richness through the palate. The wine is a blend of the estate’s finest Shiraz barrels from across these sites, combining dense blackberry, plum and dark cherry with notes of violet, baking spice and dark chocolate. Full‑bodied and generous, with supple but structured tannins and a long, smooth finish, Bella’s Garden has been produced since 2000 and has become a reference point for Barossa Shiraz.
