89 Points Decanter

Possesses a ripe apple aroma, and although it stays away from tropical fruit, it is perhaps lacking of bit of acidity and falls off slightly at the end. Description

This fine Burgundy white is pale gold, sometimes with silvery‑yellow reflections. The nose opens on hawthorn flower, liquorice, lemon and grape, then deepens into warmer nuances of honeysuckle, pear, brioche, iodine, marzipan, nuts, peach and pineapple. On the palate, fleshy fruit is carried by a fresh, saline and deliberately lean structure, with and exotic fruit notes lingering on the finish. A refined, expressive Bourgogne Blanc that shows Laurent Ponsot’s hallmark precision and balance.
