Sourced from 10 parcels, Hubert Lamy’s Saint‑Aubin La Princée 2023 opens with aromas of pear, white flowers and freshly baked bread, leading to a medium‑bodied, bright and racy palate that is chalky, layered and very precise on the finish. Harvested between September 2 and 12 in a hot, dry year with some localized hail, the 2023s benefit from Lamy’s choice to seek greater extraction for more dry extract, structure and perceived freshness. After over two decades of cutting‑edge viticulture and meticulous élevage (around 24 months on lees, mostly in used wood), La Princée 2023 is unusually approachable in youth yet clearly built to age, and comes warmly recommended.
