The 2008 Brut Rosé Cuvée Paradis from Alfred Gratien reveals aromas of orange rid, hazelnuts, baked biscuits and spices mingled with delicate notes of red berries. Medium to full-bodied, elegant and creamy, it's tense and haso an oxidative personality that segues into a mouthwatering, orange peel-inflected finish. This is a blend of 63% Chardonnay and 37% Pinot Noir. - Yohan Castaing

Description

Alfred Gratien Cuvée Paradis Rosé Grand Cru 2008 (Épernay; RM) is a mature, finely balanced rosé Champagne with developed tertiary complexity from extended aging. Aromas of strawberry compote, red cherry and cranberry are framed by toasted brioche, marmalade and a hint of orange peel. The palate is elegant and textural—bright acidity, fine mousse and a chalky mineral thread—leading to a long, savory finish with subtle spice and dried fruit nuances. Superb for collectors seeking depth and sophistication; cellar-friendly and drinking beautifully now.
