Disgorged in June 2025 with a dosage of four grams per liter, Laherte’s latest NV Extra-Brut Ultradition is produced from equal parts estate-grown and purchased fruit, sourced from the Coteaux Sud d’Épernay, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. This cuvée is composed of 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay and 10% Pinot Noir. It opens in the glass to reveal expressive aromas of pear, brioche and orange zest. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and vibrant, marrying finesse with persistence, laden with mouthwatering acidity and culminating in a long, resonant finish. With an annual production of 70,000 bottles, this is the estate’s largest, most important cuvée.

Description

Laherte Ultradition Extra Brut is a multi-village champagne from selected parcels in the Côteaux sud d’Epernay, Vallée de la Marne and Côte des Blancs. The blend of old vines (average 30 years) grown with respect for nature brings complexity and generosity from the diverse terroirs. With fermentation and aging in a mix of barrels, foudres and tanks, partial malolactic fermentation, and extended lees aging, it offers a rich and expressive profile of ripe pear, dried apricot, citrus, white flowers and brioche, with chalky minerality and a creamy yet vibrant texture. A harmonious and characterful Extra Brut that beautifully showcases the fruit-driven elegance and finesse of the Laherte style.
