This 42‑year‑old single cask Glenfarclas, distilled in 1977, is a rare, long‑aged Highland single malt showcasing the distillery’s classic rich, sherried style. The nose is layered with dried fruits, fig and raisin, dark chocolate, polished oak, leather and walnut. On the palate it is silky and full, combining mature fruitcake sweetness with spice, tobacco, antique wood and gentle rancio notes. The finish is very long, warming and elegant, with lingering dried fruits and fine oak. A collector‑grade whisky best savoured slowly, neat.
