From a warm, classic Bordeaux vintage, the 2000 Sarget shows mature, evolved character. Deep garnet with amber rim. Nose of dried blackcurrant, cedar, leather, cigar box and tertiary earthiness; subtle graphite and cedar spice. Palate is medium‑to‑full with softened, rounded tannins, lifted acidity and flavors of stewed black fruit, tobacco, cedar and a touch of dried herb. Silky texture, long savory finish with gentle oak echoes. Ready to drink now but will hold gracefully for a few more years.
